What is a salad dressing?
A salad dressing is usually a liquid seasoned mixture, which coats a salad. Generally speaking, a salad dressing has as a base vegetable oil, yogurt, vinegar, or mayonnaise and then it is seasoned with various species and flavors (garlic, lemon, fresh herbs).
A dressing can be made in larger quantities and then stored for 2-3 days in the refrigerator, in a jar with a lid. In most cases, it is better to add salad dressing to the salad just before the serving, especially if the salad contains salad greens. So the leaves will remain crispy and fresh.Â

To get that creamy consistency of lemon sauce chose a high percentage of fat yogurt. I prefer to grab classic Greek yogurt. So for this best lemon sauce with yogurt recipe, you will need the following ingredients:
Greek yogurt (plain) – 1 cupÂ
Lemon juice – 2-3 tablespoon freshly squeezed juice
Lemon zest
Fresh garlic – 2 cloves
Olive oil -1 tablespoon
Fresh dill – 1 tablespoon
Salt & pepper to taste.
How to make Lemon sauce with yogurt?
Prepare all the ingredients needed for this yogurt lemon sauce recipe. Start by grinding garlic. Garlic is often used in dressing and sauces recipes because it gives the dishes a unique flavor. Unfortunately, not everyone can serve it fresh. In this case, qualitative organic garlic powder is a good alternative.
So grind garlic with a pinch of salt until it has a paste-like consistency. Then add lemon juice, a pinch of lemon zest, and a tablespoon of olive oil. Mix well until all ingredients are emulsified. Then add the plain yogurt and finely chopped dill. As I already told I use plain Greek yogurt from a local manufacturer, with 3,5% fat. Season with some pepper to taste to give the sauce a little bit more richness and mix until evenly distributed.Â
The lemon sauce with yogurt and garlic juice is not only easy to make but also has a unique taste. Try it too, and give your dish a special identity!
