  • Four small to medium-sized potatoes
  • Seasoning (chilli flakes, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper)
  • Optional: sour cream or plain yoghurt, some melting cheese
  • Finely chopped spring onions

How to make air fryer baked potatoes?

Preheat the air fryer for 4-5 minutes at 400F (200C), wash the potatoes, and set aside. 

Take the air fryer basket, lay a parchment pepper, and put 3 or 4 potatoes inside. I poured some olive oil and cooked it for 35-40 minutes.

Take out the potatoes, cut halves, and add some shredded cheese ( anyone you have) and some seasoning. Cook for 1-2 more minutes until the cheese melts. 

Once ready, place them on a platter, season, add sour plain yoghurt, and enjoy them next to anything—top finely chopped spring onions.

Toppings:

  • Replace plain yoghurt with sour cream, a perfect combination 
  • Butter – add a dot and let it melt over
  • Fried bacon bites
  • Shredded cheese ( Parmegiano, Gryer, Mozzarella)
  • Finely chopped spring onions or chives
  • Add some spicy chilli flakes or Jalapeno 

More tips for Air Fryer Baked Potatoes:

  • Your potatoes are perfectly cooked if you easily insert a toothpick or a knife.
  • Leave your potatoes in cold water to lower the starch percentage for 10-20 minutes.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer with potatoes; you want to obtain some crispy and tender ones. 
  • You can reheat potatoes in the air fryer instead of microwaving them.
