Is Air Fryer Banana Split a healthy snack?

Air Fryer Banana SplitDefinitely, it can be! As I wrote above, you can add any healthy topping—nut butter, seeds, nuts, granola, or yogurt—and enjoy this mouthwatering healthy snack.

Bananas are a widely popular fruit and are loved for their potential health benefits. Besides being accessible, according to Healthline, this fruit provides your body with a good source of potassium. It is also often included in daily healthy meals, paired with healthy fats and/or protein.

Should I peel the banana before putting it in the air fryer?

It all depends on the recipe you are cooking! The recipe I am sharing with you requires you to peel the bananas.

Air Fryer Banana Split

Can you make this in the oven?

Banana Splits are absolutely delicious; you can have them in any way. The easiest way is to airfry them, but I have also tried baking them. There is also an option to fry bananas on the stove. In the oven, bake bananas for 8-10 minutes at 350º F, covered with aluminum foil.

The banana should be soft and turn lightly golden brown.

How do you make Air Fryer Banana Split?

Preheat the air fryer to 250º F. Toast one handful of almond flakes for 2-3 minutes. Transfer them from the air fryer to a plate and set aside.

Air Fryer Banana SplitIn the meantime, peel the bananas and slice them half lengthwise — grease with a bit of olive or coconut oil on both sides. Arrange carefully into the air fryer basket. Air fry for 5-7 minutes at 400º F or until lightly golden. Remove carefully from the air fryer and place on a plate.

Scoop some of your favorite ice cream and place it next to the air-fried bananas. Top with some chocolate syrup (or maple syrup, honey, or gem) and sprinkle the toasted almond flakes all over the composition.

Enjoy with pleasure!

Air Fryer Banana SplitCan you store the Air Fryer Banana Split?

Definitely, you can! But as banana splits are so easy to make, I recommend having them fresh. Once you send bananas to the fridge, they will get soggy and have a different taste.
