Not to mention its versatility in culinary applications. Sea bream can be cooked in various methods, always getting down to a delectable dining experience. Choosing sea bream not only contributes to a well-rounded diet but also offers a delicious way to support overall health. For that exact reason, we’ve come up with this delicious recipe of vegetable stuffed sea bream fillet roll-ups. Now let’s proceed.

How to cook Vegetable Stuffed Sea Bream Fillet Roll-ups?

Start the cooking process by preparing the fish fillets. To avoid the dirty work and the risk of cutting the fillets inappropriately, I suggest buying already sliced fillets. This is how I usually do and I’m happy to save time and avoid extra stress. Pull the little bones from the fillets if there are any, and make sure the fish scales are removed.

Now it’s time to season the fish fillets on both sides. Use salt, ground black pepper, paprika, and some granulated garlic. You can season the sea bream fillets with whatever spices you like most. Feel free to experience and try new flavors. Set aside the fillets and allow the spices to enhance the taste of the fish until you get your attention to the veggies.

How to prepare the veggies for the sea bream roll-ups?

First of all, for this fish roll-ups, I went for vegetables such as leek, carrots, and colorful bell peppers. I did not miss the garlic, of course, I simply adore the aroma it gives to the veggies when sauteed.

Watch the video below:

Use a cutting board and a sharp knife to thinly slice the veggies. Make sure they are all of same size, that will ensure an even cooking. Check the picture above for a better understanding.

Heat a pan and add some olive oil.  Drop in the crushed garlic cloves so that the oil gets infused. Then add the leek and allow it to cook for about one minute. Secondly, add the carrots and mix. Allow it to cook for another 2-3 minutes on medium heat. Finally, add the bell pepper slices and cook everything for an additional 2-3 minutes. Do not cover the veggies with a lid during cooking

Remove the pan from the stove and allow it to cool for about 10 minutes. In the meantime preheat the oven to 350F. Now let’s roll the sea bream fillets into a delicious meal!

How to roll the sea bream fillets with veggies?

It is very easy to make vegetable stuffed sea bream fillet roll-ups, I promise! Take about one spoon of the sauteed veggies and place them on one end of the fillet. Begin rolling and pin with a toothpick to seal the shape. Repeat with all the remaining fillets and place them into a skillet or baking pan.

Drizzle some olive oil on top and pour a little bit of white wine into the pan. For an extra touch of taste and color, you may add a branch of cherry tomatoes.

How to bake the vegetable stuffed sea bream fillet roll-ups

Bake the vegetable stuffed sea bream fillet roll-ups in a preheated oven for 20 minutes at 360F. This kind of fish is best when tender and juicy, therefore, I wouldn’t keep the gentle fillets in the oven for more than 25 minutes.

When the time expires, remove the beautiful and aromatic filer roll-ups from the stove because they’re ready to be served.

How to serve the vegetable stuffed sea bream fillet roll-ups

Serve the vegetable stuffed sea bream fillet roll-ups alone or next to some rice, quinoa, or buckwheat for a delightful dining experience. Accompany with a crisp white wine to complement the Mediterranean flavors.

Enhance the dish by coating the roll-ups with the luscious sauce from the baking pan. This simple yet elegant presentation ensures a satisfying meal that tantalizes the taste buds and elevates the dining experience.
