Ripe bananas, but not overly ripe ones, will make the best option, as you would like to have some crispy and firm banana chips instead of mushy ones. I encourage you to buy bright yellow bananas that look firm and fresh.

Two ripe bananas
1 tbsp brown sugar
½ cup coconut oil or you can use coconut spray
Optional: coconut flakes

How to make air fryer banana chips?
Making banana chips at home is simple and easy.
First, preheat the air fryer at 350F (180C).
Then, peel and slice uniformly bananas with a sharp knife ( I cut them about ¼ inch).
Once cut, season with brown sugar and a pinch of salt; you can add cayenne pepper and coconut oil.
I have melted the coconut oil in a bain-marie to use it easily. Check this easy process here.
Take the air fryer basket, place a sheet of parchment paper, and nicely place banana slices. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes. Repeat this process until you cook all your banana slices.
Top some coconut flakes and enjoy them warm.
Curcumin or turmeric can be great substitutes for cayenne pepper.
Fresh lemon juice or bought one can add freshness and acidity.
Brown sugar adds sweetness, so add just a pinch.

Banana chips are a sweet treat that you can store for weeks. Place banana chips in an airtight container after being completely cooled, and enjoy them any time of the day for 2 to 3 weeks.

- 1/2 cup melted coconut oil
- seasoning ( cayenne pepper and salt)
- coconut flakes
