How to prepare the toppings for crispy fried rice?
Crispy fried rice is a very versatile recipe because you can top your fried rice with any ingredients you love most. For this particular recipe, I used what I had in my fridge. That is bell pepper, eggs, and bacon – isn’t it a delicious combo?
Use a skillet to fry the ingredients. Wash and slice the bell pepper, and discard the stalk, white center parts, and seeds. Put the slices in the hot skillet and fry for about 1 minute then add the bacon. Cook everything on medium heat then crack one egg onto the skillet next to the other ingredients. As soon as the egg is fried to the stage you like it, remove everything from the skillet and place it on a plate. Do not remove the grease from the skillet, you will need it to cook the rice to get an extra flavor.
How to prepare crispy fried rice?
It is one of the easiest ways of cooking rice and I suppose you’ll simply adore it just like I do. For a start boil the rice you would usually do. Do not add any seasoning such as salt or pepper, leave that for later. You may either boil it or steam it. Choose whatever cooking method you most prefer for rice. It is best to let the rice cool, for that, you may cook it in advance or the night before and store it in the fridge.
At this point heat up the skillet you’ve used to prepare the toppings, add a bit of oil such as olive oil or sesame oil, and let it heat. Put the rice into the skillet and spread it evenly on the surface. It will start frying and it is when you know it is the time to season it. The rice will get the taste you want depending on the spices and oil you will further add.
For this delicious crispy rice recipe, I added soy sauce, rice vinegar, and the oil for frying it. You may also sprinkle some chili flakes for a touch of spiciness. Mix everything for the rice to soak in all the flavors and become one of your favorite dishes.
Now that the rice is ready, turn off the stove and grab a bowl to assemble the crispy fried rice recipe.
