I am obsessed with desserts that are done with no fuss and do not require to switch on the stove. No sophisticated ingredients included and only 15 minutes of preparation work! Believe me, you have never made an easier sweet treat than this. Smooth, lingering, and chocolaty pudding will melt your heart with every bite.
Keep in mind that the key to heavenly chocolate pudding is high-quality chocolate. I have used a mix of Belgian dark and milk chocolate chips. Their iconic bold and rich taste brings this lovely pudding to another level. Delicious, luxuriously chocolate frosting makes it taste even better.
Probably chocolate pudding sounds like a fancy dessert, and you would rather savor it at a restaurant. Do not worry, it couldn’t get any easier. It is tremendously satisfying to prepare a decadent sweet treat from starch for such a lovely occasion and for the special one! Savor every bite!
How to make Jello Chocolate Pudding?
Jello chocolate pudding – an ultimate indulgent chocolaty sweet treat made at home – sounds inviting – doesn’t it? Just 15 minutes to put everything together and some hours to chill – these are all the manipulation you have to do.
In a heavy saucepan, bring the milk to a boil over medium heat. Once you see milk bubbling, lower the heat and add butter and chocolate chips. Lightly stir and continue cooking until the added ingredients melt. Then add pudding mixture, working very quickly, constantly whisk until the mixture completely dissolves. Once the pudding has reached a simmer and is thoroughly combined, turn off the heat. Transfer the chocolate pudding immediately into a serving dish or serving glasses. To get a beautiful cake-form pudding, today I made it in a small springform pan (7th inch). Chill the pudding for at least one hour.
Meanwhile, prepare chocolate frosting. Add about 4 oz of chopped chocolate to a medium glass bowl. To add some shiny and beautiful finish, stir in about 3 tbsp of heavy cream. Melt them together, constantly stirring with a spatula over a bain-marie. Set aside to cool a little. Pour chocolate frosting over chilled pudding. Sprinkle on top a few almond flakes. Decorate with fresh strawberries and some grated chocolate.
For note:
- Puddings tend to get lumpy while cooking. So make sure you add dry pudding mixture gradually. If you get some lums, whip the mixture to a smooth slurry with a hand mixer.
- This elegant chocolate pudding doesn’t need any sophisticated decorations. In case you desire some, use your imagination. Once it is chilled, you can top it with fresh fruit, coconut flakes, chocolate chips, or whipped cream. I adore the combination of fruit and chocolate.
- If you desire, you can add some special touches. Try and play with various flavorings – extract of orange, vanilla almond, or even rum. Also, for a more chocolaty taste, add an espresso.
- This jello chocolate pudding recipe is moderately sweet. So, add about ⅓ cup of sugar if you like sweeter desserts.
- Use the highest quality chocolate.
