Cooking bacon in an air fryer or oven is fast, quick, easy, no grease, and smoke. I adore serving crispy bacon for breakfast next to anything. But because it was making me too much mess and smoke I usually avoided cooking it at home. When I have tried this new method I get convinced that bacon is much more tasty, crispy, looks more perfect, and less grease. I adore such now hows as they easier my life and lazy mornings.
Scrambled or poached eggs with some crispy bacon is one of the combos I simply adore. My husbands is also fond of crispy bacon and is always asking for more.
What bacon can you use?
Bacon is agreat option, but sometimes I choose Italian pancetta as it crisps so well and the salty taste is just amazing. Crunchy and perfect are just two words that perfectly described these amazing bacon slices.

In an air fryer, you can cook anything you want in order to obtain crispy, crunchy, and perfect looks. Potatoes, veggies, or bacon is just perfect for the air fryer. Lay some bacon slices in the air fry basket in a singer layer and fry some minutes until crispy and brown, flip and continue cooking some 5 minutes more until ready to perfection. Usually, I buy bacon slices that are thin so it takes some 2-3 minutes to fry on each side. It depends on the bacon thickness, either to cook it longer or less.
Is air-fried bacon healthier?
Theoretically speaking yes, but practically it has lot of fat and calories, as well. It is much healthier and better in an air fryer rather being cooked on a stovetop, and the result is much more attractive. It still has lots of calories so avoid eating crispy bacon everyday, skip it with some other crispy meat in order to make some variations.

Can you put foil in an air fryer?
The air fryer uses circulation to cook the food quicker and to make it crisper. However, you can put some foil in an air fryer but it can slower the process of cooking. Keep in mind that if you use foil in an air fryer it should be weighted down by the food and make sure that the foil doesn’t cover it fully. For this recipe, I would not recommend adding foil, if you want your bacon to cook perfect and crispy.
How to cook bacon in an air fryer?
Cooking crispy bacon for breakfasts became a pleasure and a delight for me. This fatty meat is cooked fast, quick, less smokey, and has much more taste. I adore serving it with some eggs and salad. Cooking it in an air fryer is much healthier and a lot of bacon fat drains away in the basket below. They look perfect and crunchy. If you want more flavourful bacon, just add some paprika powder and it will taste heavenly.
Bacon (smoked or unsmoked) or Italian pancetta. I have used 10 slices of bacon.
Some paprika or cayenne powder just adss a touch of red color that simply looks amazing.
Brown sugar caramelizes the meat and makes it more flavourful to savor. But you can easily skip it away.
Preheat air fryer at 350F or 180C.
Lay some bacon slices in the air fry basket in a singer layer and fry until crispy and brown, flip and continue cooking until bacon is crispy and ready to perfection, about 5 minutes more.
If you want less crispy bacon then fry it for fewer minutes. Usually, I buy thin bacon slices so it takes me some 3-4 minutes to fry on each side.
Transfer cooked crunchy bacon on a plate lined with some kitchen towel to soak up the excess of fat.
For note: I have rubbed bacon slices in some paprika powder so that it has an irresistible red/brown colour with more flavour and smokey aroma.
