Gorgonzola Dolce, also known as Dolcelatte is a soft Italian cheese made from cows’ milk that is characterized by a sweet taste. It is a softer but fatter version of the classic blue mold cheese.
Pears are considered powerful fruit. It contains phytonutrients, including anti-inflammatory flavonoids and polyphenols. Pears are rich in fibers, especially pectins, that have beneficial effects on health. One fresh pear contains about 12% of the recommended daily dose of vitamin C. Have a low glycemic index, pears can be used when following diets, like the ketogenic diet, weight loss diet, low glycemic diet, and others.
Nuts – here you can use your imagination and use nuts that you like the most. Walnuts, pine nuts, cashews, pecan nuts will pair perfectly with pears. But the most I like the combination of roasted almonds with blue cheese, and pear. It doesn’t matter what kind of nuts will you choose, as all of them are an excellent source of protein, Omega – 6, Omega – 3 ( healthy fats), magnesium, and Vitamin E.

How to make Roasted Pears With Blue Cheese?
Autumn is an awesome season rich in various aromatic vegetables and fruits. Delicious dishes, such as Vegan pumpkin soup, Butternut squash pie, Baked apples, Apple Casserole, Roasted bell peppers can be prepared from fall gifts of nature. Pears are one of autumn aromatic fruits, and in its seasons they are especially delicious.
Before you will start preparing pears, preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper.
Grab 2 pears, wash them, and dry with a paper towel. Do not take too ripe pears, because they might lose their shape during baking. Cut them in halves lengthwise and scoop the seeds and core. If you are not baking pears immediately, toss them with some lemon juice, to prevent from turning brown. For scooping use a small tablespoon. Arrange the pears cut side up on the prepared baking tray. Fix them with a toothpick, so that pears will not wobble. Fill each pears halves with Gorgonzola dolce. Then top with some nuts. Send pears to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
Once the time elapsed, remove pears. Transfer them to the plate, drizzle with some honey or syrup. Serve warm!
Roasted Pears With Blue Cheese
- 2 pears
- 8 tbsp soft Gorgonzola dolce cheese
- 4 tbsp almond flakes
- 4 tbsp honey
- Grab 2 pears, wash them, and dry with a paper towel. Cut them in halves lengthwise and scoop the seeds and core.
- Arrange the pears cut side up on the prepared baking tray. Fix them with a toothpick, so that pears will not wobble. Fill each pears halves with Gorgonzola dolce. Then top with some nuts.
- Send pears to the preheated oven at 375°F and bake for 20 minutes
