Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge is some of the sweet treats I often make at home for my family. These sweet and salty bars are made of few ingredients but are truly delicious and tasty.
There are endless peanut butter fudge recipes. All of them are great and easy to make. Also, the taste of all of them is really delicious and sweet.Â
For today, I will present to you one of my variations and mixture as I made them a little different, but with a nice and inviting texture and aroma.Â
When you want some sweet treats but you don’t want to cook, these chocolate peanut butter fudges are an escape. You can freeze them for the entire night, but you can also freeze them at least 1-2 hours and enjoy any bite. It depends on the thickness you make. I always try to avoid too thick bars as my daughter doesn’t have the patience to wait for too long.Â
Sweets are always a good idea. Different cakes or pies, however, these fudges are truly quick to prepare and have a great and balanced aroma between sweet and salty taste. For example, my favourite ice cream is white with salted caramel. I find this combination truly perfect and ideal. I adore sweet treats mixed with some sea salt – the result is out of this world.Â
Maybe this is why I find this peanut butter fudges delicious and tasty. These sweet bars can also be made as keto, and you can also try my Keto Peanut Butter Cookies or Keto Cocoa Fat Bombs.
Peanut butter fudge has a smooth, creamy brownie-colour texture with a mild taste. These fudges are scrumptious and versatile. You can skip chocolate chips with cocoa powder, also you can add white chocolate chips or some nuts. They can be made in so many ways that none of them will taste wrong or bad.Â
Why won’t my peanut butter fudge harden?
Many moms are afraid or avoid making peanut butter fudges because they are afraid of the result. I have to admit that I am also that person that has many phobias. However, I try to always overwhelm my emotions and dare to experience.Â
First of all, the fudge texture should have an appropriate consistency – it shouldn’t look to soggy, nor too hard. After you have made the fudge dough let it sit and cool down before you freeze it. Â
How long should fudge take to set?
For the best-looking fudges, it is recommended to set them in the fridge overnight or at least 3 hours. If you are making fudges not too thick, as I do, then you can easily store them for 1-2 hours. Your fudges should look firm and hard.Â
Can I freeze fudge to make it set?
For the best result, you have to fridge them instead of freezing the fudge. Freezing the fudge can lead to a too harden texture and you will not be able to cut them nicely and properly. So, easily store them in the fridge for some more hours in case you are afraid of the process.Â
How to make chocolate peanut butter fudge?
Making a homemade sweet treat is a pleasure and a delight. Nothing beats more peace and love, like a mother is creating something delicious for her kids and family. This is why for today I have decided to present to you my peanut butter fudge recipe.Â
The ingredients:
- ¼ cup of unsalted butter
- â…“ cup of milk, optional as I skipped it to try a new taste
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 ½ cup icing sugar
- 1-2 tbsp cocoa powderÂ
- 1 cup of peanut butter
- Pinch of salt
Bring to boil a saucepan with water. Take a bowl and add peanut butter, butter, and vanilla extract and put over the boiling water. This water bath process will melt your ingredients until liquid consistency. It will take up to 2-4 minutes.
Sift over the icing sugar and cocoa powder and stir for another 2 minutes until the sugar has melted and all the ingredients have incorporated.
Take off the water bath and pour the brown looking texture into a mould covered with parchment paper (or a silicone mould to easily take off the fudge). Let it cool down before storing it in the fridge for at least 2-3 hours. Keep refrigerated until you serve it.Â
So simple and easy that everyone can try making it at home. A delicious piece of fudge will nicely pair with a peanut butter milkshake.Â
How do you cut fudge cleanly?
After you have stored the fudge in the fridge for at least some hours and it has hardened, you know that your sweet treats are done. Remove them from the fridge and place them on a flat cutting board. Let it sit a little. Take a big knife and dip it in some boiling water. Dry it completely and gently cut cubes (the heated knife will glide through the dough nicely and evenly).
