Whipped feta dip infused with roasted garlic and onion is magical and ultra-tasty. A simple side dish to warm your feelings during dull fall days.Â
Feta dip is a creamy, cheesy side dish to enjoy any time of the year. Creamy, fatty, but super tasty and finger-licking.Â
I must add and accentuate that the lingering taste is obtained from the roasted garlic with the onion. The aroma of these two veggies infused in oil and herbs is impressive, but mixed in the whipped feta dip; it is something fantastically tasty.
Sweet, a little salty, velvety rich, and genuinely ideal to enjoy next to a fresh baguette or crackers. This is unlike my old cheesy balls recipe; on the contrary, this dip is fluffy, airy, and cheesy-licious.Â
I like such dips as they nicely decorate my party table.Â
For note: you can easily roast garlic and onion earlier or a day before to earn time and effort. Whipping the feta cheese with heavy cream and a lot of herbs takes just 5 minutes.Â
Honey add-in
Honey can be a great add-in to this dip. I skipped it as I wanted an authentic garlicky/cheesy taste. Honey adds sweetness, while my husband doesn’t like this combination. For me, it is a good balance of flavors, but I have omitted it for him. Â
This feta dip is a quick and easy appetizer to enjoy next to anything or simply with some crackers while watching a movie.Â
What is a feta dip?
It’s so easy that you don’t even need an excuse to make it! Just do it! Combine ingredients: in a food processor, combine feta, cream cheese, garlic, olive oil, juice and zest, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Pulse and serve: Pulse until smooth and creamy.
Is feta cheese healthy?
Feta is a fresh, healthy white cow cheese with one of the most calcium vitamins. A staple cheese found in different famous Greek recipes. Full of calcium, which is a healthy vitamin that will help you maintain good teeth and bones. Feta is healthy and delicious, especially in Greek salad; check the recipe here.Â
Whipped feta dip is a Greek crowd-pleasing side dish that can be made fast and with different toppings. Versatile and tasty is this feta dip.Â

Some famous toppings can be: roasted cherry tomatoes, pistachio, green or black olives, pine nuts, fresh herbs, canned chickpeas, or fresh veggies can be some ideas for a nice and tasty recipe.Â

Taste and adjust the seasoning after your taste. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and top with crushed onion and garlic.

This sounds and looks delish! Wondering about making it the day before? Would it still maintain the light and airiness?
hi, I would not recommend doing it ahead as it mai become soggy. you may bake the veggies just to have them at the time you want to make this recipe.
Hi there… the instructions for this recipe are a little difficult to understand (and I get that it is and should be super simple!).
Starting with the second step: Combine all dairy ingredients in a processor and blend – I’m guessing this is just the feta and heavy cream… not the olive oil? The olive oil is never mentioned until step 5, but I know you’re not drizzling with a 1/2 cup of olive oil.
In Step 3 you say “Meanwhile, the veggies are baked, mix the cheese, the heavy cream, and the spices”. So there is the Feta and heavy cream again, but never a reference to the olive oil. And are you mixing in the roasted onion and garlic here? I’m assuming the spices are salt, pepper, chili flakes… and then maybe lemon zest which you refer to in the text but is not in the recipe.
In Step 4 you state to “top with crushed onion and garlic”. Are these the roasted onion and garlic from Step 1? Don’t they ever get whipped into the cheese mixture?
All sounds delicious but I’m afraid the recipe instructions are unclear. Hoping you can revise!
Hi,
This recipe is easy as it sounds. Mix all the dairy ingredients and top the baked onion and garlic.
Blend all dairy ingredients with spices, as you have mentioned, with honey and olive oil. Feta is a dry cheese; some olive oil and honey will make it look like a dip. Baked veggies are not blended they are just topped on top and enjoyed whole. However, you can try mixing them with all the dairy ingredients. I hope that I have helped you. Thank you
Do you mix the whole 1/2 cup with the feta & heavy cream or do you save some to drizzle on top?
I have a friend coming in from out of town & can’t wait to make this!!
No, mix it all and blend.
You can drizzle some olive oil on the top for a nice-looking appearance.
Thank you,
