The Best Green Spirulina Smoothie

Spirulina Smoothie made with fruits is an easy and healthy way to boost energy and a great antioxidant loaded with good nutrients. This protein-packed smoothie is deliciously creamy and is an absolute must-take!

Who loves powdered spirulina? Me neither. In capsules, I can barely drink it, but powdered it is really disgusting. Knowing its greatest benefits, I have decided to blend it with fruits to make it taste delicious. And know what? It really was.

The Best Green Spirulina SmoothieLet me explain to you something: spirulina is one of the magical supplements a person should take. It regenerates all your cells and as if revives you. It is fabulous and one of the must-take supplements. To make it drinkable, I have blended it with fruits to isolate the unpleasant smell and make it taste and smell amazing.

Any fruits you will use are just fine; however, keep in mind that oranges are among those fruits that neutralise bad aroma. Any fruits you have are okay, but oranges are some of the must-fruit in spirulina smoothie.

This tasty, green, inviting smoothie is healthy, magical, and useful. I try to make a habit of drinking it daily.

I use to drink it in the morning, once per day. Okay, this is my portion, but you can drink it twice per day, and it would be okay, as well. When I am super lazy, I drink spirulina tablets as it is easier and more comfortable. However, powdered spirulina is more effective and comes in its natural compound. The Best Green Spirulina SmoothieSome cafes offer spirulina smoothie with a delightful and delicious taste. However, it takes me some 3 to 5 minutes to make it at home with my only beloved ingredients. So, I have to admit that I rarely buy it in cafe/bars.

Many diets suggest introducing spirulina to the daily menu due to its healthiness and weight loss.  So keep in mind this point if you are on a diet!

What is spirulina?

The Best Green Spirulina SmoothieSpirulina is one of the greatest dietary supplements that has many health benefits and should be administered daily for some months per year. I try always to administer it as it is beneficial and helpful.

For example, spirulina is excellent against anaemia, reduces blood pressure, lowers Triglyceride levels, and other great health benefits.

How much Spirulina should I put in a smoothie?

When you make a spirulina smoothie, it is enough to use 1 tsp of spirulina powder, but you can adjust the amount to your liking. For example, if I make a vegetable spirulina smoothie, I try to add less spirulina powder than in a fruit smoothie.

Does Spirulina make you gain weight?

On the contrary, it may help you lose weight without losing nutrition. Spirulina is alkalising the body, which promotes liver function – the necessary element while detoxing. So not, it isn’t making you gaining weight.

How to make a spirulina smoothie at home?

The Best Green Spirulina Smoothie IngredientsSome 5 minutes and your spirulina smoothie is ready to enjoy. Many of you, just like me some years ago, didn’t know how useful spirulina was and how quickly it can turn into a fabulous drink.

Fruits neutralise the unpleasant spirulinas’ aroma thus making it a super tasty smoothie with a nice and inventing green colour.

What ingredients do you need?

  • 1 tsp spirulina powder
  • 1 cup of coconut milk ( almond or goat is also great)
  • ½ orange
  • Two bananas
  • Strawberries
  • Kiwi
  • Spinach optional

Take your hand blender, start with pouring the milk, add the fruits, and finally add spirulina powder. Not so complicated or hard. Just blend all together for 2-3 minutes or until all the ingredients are nicely blended.
