You know you’re going to have a good day when your morning begins with a hearty and delicious breakfast.

It is well known that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It not only offers the energy needed to start the day on the right foot, but it also has many health benefits. Breakfast needs to be nutritionally balanced, as it keeps blood sugar in check and stabilizes your appetite for the rest of the day. In addition, nutrition is important for energy, at the same time, breakfast must be a source of protein, healthy fats, fiber, and carbohydrates. For this reason, I have come up with a breakfast recipe that will fill any morning with energy and accelerate the metabolism at its highest.

Ingredients for bomblicious breakfast

Eggs. Eggs offer high-quality protein and are an exceptional source of key vitamins including vitamin D, vitamin B12, choline, vitamin A, iron, vitamin B6, vitamin E (selenium and zinc), phosphorus and folic acid. Eggs have had a bad reputation in the past because of the cholesterol in the yolk, however, it is increasingly accepted that yolk cholesterol does not clog arteries and is not related to heart diseases. Today, the yolk is classified as good cholesterol.

Egg consumption is beneficial for those suffering from osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Scientists claim it is good for the brain, improving memory, concentration, balancing mental and emotional state. In addition, it offers protection against anemia. But most important is that eggs are super delicious and can be cooked in so many ways and combined with a wide range of products to get beautiful and delicious meals.

Eggs and hot dogs ingredients; French baguette, Philadelphia cream cheese, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes

Mushrooms. Mushrooms may seem trivial, but they are indeed superfoods because they do not contain any fat, sugar or salt. At the same time, these are a valuable source of fiber, vitamins B (B1, B2, B3, B6) and folic acid.

Moreover, different types of mushrooms are easily found in any grocery store at very convenient prices. And because mushrooms have just been classified as superfoods, maybe we should pay more attention to them. For that reason, mushrooms have a special role in this breakfast recipe I have brought to your attention today. Sautéed mushrooms with garlic are the easiest way to cook it yet the result is tantalizingly delicious. Moving forward.

Hot Dogs. I can’t talk about how valuable hot dogs are to human health, I can’t lie to you about that. However, I can surely talk about these being so damn good and these adding extra flavor to the breakfast. Hot dogs are super fast and easy to cook. In this breakfast recipe, I included frankfurters for their meaty juiciness and because they’re a great partner to the eggs.

Now let’s proceed to the second plan actors of this play called bomblicious breakfast.

Cream-cheese. You’ll need cream-cheese; Philadelphia is my choice when doing grocery.

French bread or any other bread you like. Bread is a great source of carbohydrates you need to get your for daily energy. You can opt for whole-grain bread if you want a healthier variant of breakfast.

Cherry tomatoes. These sour-sweet vegetables are more than welcome in this recipe as they are the ones responsible to give a touch of freshness to the plate. Cherry tomatoes are also an excellent source of antioxidants, the substances that prevent from getting old (so that you know).

Consuming breakfast in the morning increases the supply of nutrients that the body and the brain need for a better concentration. When our brain receives the necessary nutrients, it will function optimally throughout the day. Therefore, follow my breakfast recipe to stay focused and healthy!

How to prepare bomblicious breakfast?

I start by preparing all the ingredients. One of my closest friends taught me that eggs should be washed before cooking to avoid any possibility of getting infected with salmonella. So that’s how I start cooking my breakfasts since then – by washing the eggs under running water.

Take one frying pan, put to heat and add some drops of oil or butter, whatever you like most. When the grease is hot, make sure the heat is medium-low and proceed.

Crack as many eggs as you need, I usually cook 2 eggs for 1 person at the table. Let it get cooked on one side, that will take up to 1 minute, then turn upside down with a rubber spatula and cook the eggs for another minute. By doing so, you will have a soft interior, the yolks will still be squashy but ready to be devoured.

When you see them ready, remove from the pan; transfer the eggs to a plate. Set aside for later. You can cover that plate with aluminum foil to keep them warm until served.

In the same frying pan, add a few drops of oil and throw in the hot dogs. Two hotdogs shall feed one person, so fry as many as you need. You can slightly cut the skin of the hotdogs, that will allow an even distribution of the heat upon frying and will offer an appetizing look. A total of  2 minutes of frying on all sides will be more than enough for the hot dogs to be ready. Going next.

Clean and slice a couple of mushrooms. Do not wash mushrooms, they soak in water like sponges. It is enough to remove the soil or sand and then wipe them with a clean kitchen cloth. You can take as many mushrooms as you want, or you can skip this part. I would strongly advise keeping on this ingredient because the extra flavor added to the plate is exquisite.

Peel and slice a couple of garlic cloves. In the kitchen, garlic is a great partner to the mushrooms.

Sauté mushrooms in the panIn a skillet heat 2 tbsp of olive oil at medium-low heat. Add the garlic. Let cook for about 1 minute. Add the mushrooms and stir. DO NOT COVER the skillet with pan, otherwise, you’ll boil the mushrooms in their own juice. In about 3 minutes the sautéed superfood should be ready. Turn off the stove.

Slice the bread and spread the cream-cheese. Add sautéed mushrooms on top of it.

Cut the cherry tomatoes in half or quarters in a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and some olive oil. Mix.

How to serve bomblicious breakfast?

Take a plain plate and unite everything on the same territory. Gently place the eggs, add fried hotdogs, the juicy cherry tomatoes and the topped with sautéed mushrooms french bread.
