Just slice the thighs into thin parts and cook them properly as this recipe advises.
How to prepare air fryer chicken cutlets?
To cook the perfect air fryer chicken cutlets you will need a few basic ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. Gather on your working surface the following produce:
- chicken breast or pre-cut chicken tenders
- all-purpose flour
- breadcrumbs
- shredded parmesan
- eggs
- salt & pepper
- garlic powder
- paprika
- Italian dried herbs (optional)
- cooking spray
Start the cooking process by preparing the meat. If you have a whole chicken breast, just slice it horizontally in half. You may use a mallet to tenderize the meat to an even thickness. Then, if it is too big, you might like to slice it into two equal parts. Season the meat with salt and pepper on both sides.
Next, use three different plates to place the ingredients to make that most wanted golden crispy coating. On one plate put the flour, 3-4 tablespoons are enough. In the second mix breadcrumbs with spices and parmesan. Beat one egg in the third. Make sure the plates are large enough for you to be able to dredge the chicken cutlets.
Finally, dredge each cutlet in flour, then in the beaten egg, and finalize the coating with the mix of breadcrumbs and parmesan. Repeat the procedure for the remeaning cutlets until you’re done. It’s time to air fry the chicken cutlets!
How to air fry chicken cutlets?
Preheat the air fryer for about 5 minutes at 350F. Remove the basket and spray some cooking oil on the perforated surface or use a brush to grease the bottom with some oil.
Gently arrange the coated chicken cutlets next to each other. Do not stack them. If you have some cutlets left, wait until the first round is cooked and cook the remaining separately. Watch the video below:
Put the basket back into the air fryer and set the 370F for 7 minutes. When the time expires, flip sides and let them brown for another 5 minutes. When done, remove the cutlets from the basket and serve. This is how easy and fast the crispy air fryer chicken cutlets are cooked.
How to serve the air fryer chicken cutlets?
Serve the crunchy cutlets as soon as they’re ready. You might like to dip them in some freshly made tzatziki sauce for extra taste. The air fryer chicken cutlets are great when served with other dips such as the bang-bang, chick-a-fil, cream cheese dip with roasted peppers, or homemade mayo.

This recipe caused me to over cook the cutlets. Less time in the air fryer is needed. I am just learning to use mine so I have to play around with times
20 minutes way way too long
Hello Frank,
The chicken cutlets I have used were thick and this is why I have cooked them for 20 min, but you can cook them for less at a higher temperature.
