Are eggs healthy?

Eggs are one of the most controversial ingredients discussed nowadays, but with a lot of health benefits. This healthy ingredient contains a lot of nutrients that are indispensable to the body. As I mentioned above, eggs are a rich source of protein, vitamins, folic acid, calcium and because of the amino acids they have, eggs are absorbed by the body much more easily.

But, we all know that the abuse of any ingredient can lead to some side effects, no matter how beneficial it can be. This is why it is important to eat eggs moderately and to do many sports.

Stuffed eggs are also known as deviled eggs, or popularly dressed eggs. Deviled eggs are hard-boiled ones, shelled, and cut in halves to be stuffed with any toppings you like. The yolk is usually mixed with any kind of paste and filled over the hole of each white. Such appetizers are served cold and are one of the greatest side dishes my whole family adores.

How to boil perfect hard eggs?

For this recipe, you will need 6-8 eggs depending on how many people you are going to have. In a large pot bring to boil the water adding 1tsp of baking soda to the water. When the water is boiling add the eggs and boil them for about 6-8 minutes to have perfect hard-boiled eggs. After that, transfer the eggs into ice-cold water and leave some minutes to sit in. This technique will help you peel them easily.

Can you boil eggs in instant pot?

Yes, it is possible and really helpful. If you have an Instant Pot, then I recommend you to try this method. In some future posts, I will show how quickly and easily they are done and peeled if boiled in an Instant Pot.

How to make stuffed deviled eggs?

For the best-deviled eggs, you will need to have one of the best quality eggs at home. I usually buy eggs of good quality to avoid negative impacts.

Stuffed deviled eggs with avocado and cod liver ingredients

First of all, I wash the eggs before I use them (no matter what type of dish I am preparing). In a large pan, I pour water with 1tsp of baking powder and let it boil at high heat. When the water boils I add the eggs, one by one to avoid cracking and let them boil in the water about 6-8 minutes. When the eggs have boiled, I add them into ice-cold water and leave some minutes to cool down. The peeling process is much easier.

Slice the eggs in halves, remove the yolks to a bowl, and arrange the whites on a serving plate.

In the bowl with the yolks, I separate them to make 2 different fillings. So, the first filling I mix cod liver with yolks, a pinch of salt and pepper and some drops of lemon juice. In another bowl, I mix half of the remaining yolks with half of an avocado, mayonnaise, and ½ tsp of mustard. Use a spoon to add the filling mixture back to the hole whites. You can use piping bags to nicely decorate the whites.

Easy and delicious.

These best-stuffed eggs appetizers are just perfect on a festive table and ready in just minutes.
