Afterward, it will take another 10 minutes to have the rich sauce ready, as a result, you have a hearty meal that will feed a family of four in as fast as 30 minutes.
How do you make pulled pork in an instant pot?
Pulled pork can be prepared in under 30 minutes if cooked with the instant pot, using the “pressure cooking” program.
To start the cooking process, you need to gather the basic ingredient. The essentials are already somewhere in your kitchen drawers or fridge. For this pulled pork recipe, to season the meat while it is cooking, I used onion, garlic, ginger, bay leaves, and carrots. Of course, I did not skip the salt and the pepper.
Slice the pork loin into 5 pieces, if you see that the layer of fat is too thick, you can remove it using a sharp knife. Then peel the onion, garlic cloves, ginger, and carrot, and cut them into big chunks.
Transfer the ingredients into the instant pot and add the bay leaves, season with salt and pepper. At this point pour as much cold water as to cover the ingredients. That should not exceed 5 cups.
Now seal the lid of the pot and set the “ pressure cooking program”. Select “pork” and press the “start” button. The screen will display a 20-minute countdown. That’s what it takes for you to get super tender pork loin meat – the pulled pork.
Do I have to release steam when cooking pulled pork in an instant pot?
Absolutely. When the 20 minutes expire, you will hear a beep, letting you know that the meat is cooked, however, it will not let you open the lid. And that’s a good thing, the steam is under pressure and it is hazardous to open a crockpot under pressure. The pot will naturally release the steam for a longer period of time. I am one of those ladies who hate waiting, so I opt for the quick release. Now that the pressure has been released, you can open the lid and proceed to pull the pork. Throw the veggies, you no longer need it, and put the meat into a bowl.
How do I shred pulled pork easily?
You will see that the pork loin has become as tender as it can get. Moreover, the pork loin’s texture is similar to dozens of lined threads – a thing that makes it perfectly shreddable. To easily shred the meat, I use 2 forks. Lightly press the meat with the fork tips and pull in opposite directions. Repeat the procedure until all the chinks are well shredded. You may want to cover the shredded meat with aluminum foil to keep it warm until you prepare the jack daniel’s sauce.
How to prepare Jack Daniel’s sauce?
You can find the sauce in any grocery store, it is a very popular meat sauce, or you can prepare it at home and enjoy the maximum of taste and flavor. The recipe is very easy, you just need to combine the ingredients and let them pass the thermal processing.
Here we go, grab a saucepan and pour in the Jack Daniel’s, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Saute everything for the alcohol to evaporate and for the onion and garlic to become translucent. Use medium-low heat to avoid burning the onion and the garlic. That will take no longer than 7 minutes.
At this point add the “basic” ingredients to spice up the mixture. The basic ingredients include ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, vinegar, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, smoke flavoring (it’s ok to skip it), Tabasco sauce if you like it spicy, and don’t skip the salt and pepper,
Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes. Do not cover it with a lid, it has to evaporate its juices and become thicker. It is all it takes to prepare a delicious homemade Jack Daniel’s sauce for the pulled pork.
How to make Jack Daniel’s pulled pork burger?
Now that you have the pulled pork ready and the sauce prepared, it’s time to mix them to flavor up the meat. The sauce will add a rich taste to the meat, a combination of sweet, sour, and spicy. What else can you expect from a pork burger?
To feel one person, you will need one fresh and crispy bun, one pickle, a few slices of onion, and a couple of lettuce leaves. Run free your imagination and add any other ingredient you like in your burger. I loooove the beetroot, so I decorated the burgers with a few slices of the beautiful and healthy beetroot.
Cut the bun into two equal parts, you may extract the crumb, the soft inner part of the bread That’s how you make more room for shredded meat and the rest of the ingredients.
Now layer up all the ingredients and top with 2 generous tablespoons of Jack Daniel’s pulled pork. Top the meat with the bun half and open your mouth as largely as you can. It’s time to devour it!
