Why order a hamburger when you can delight yourself with a quick homemade flavorful hamburger? Juicy and succulent beef, melty and chewy cheese, salted bacon, the caramelized onion will make your burger simply delicious.
When it comes to making a juicy homemade hamburger – the secret lies in the percentage of the ground beef. I adore burgers – either cheeseburger, sloppy joes, or an ordinary burger, all of these are loaded with flavors and aromatic juices. However, I always thought that a bought one will save my time and it will be tastier rather at home. But, when I tried it for the first time at home I realized how tastier, juicer, quicker it can be and much cheaper than in a restaurant. I have to admit that the perfect homemade hamburger recipe came after years of experience.
Definitely, nothing beats a homemade dish, especially when it comes to burgers. A classic recipe made at home will be healthier to eat, simple to make, and absolutely delicious. This comfort food is more appetizing next to some chips.
When I make at home the best hamburgers I tend to add more of the ingredients I like. A bought one is good, but made at home is just perfect. You can’t go wrong with any ingredients here, for example, I adore adding caramelized onion to my homemade burger. The sweet taste of the onion with the sour taste of the pickles next to the beef and cheese is outstanding and divine. I adore this kind of mixture as it creates a flamboyant-style hamburger, made at home. Try my best recipe and leave your comment below.

How do you make homemade hamburgers?
First of all, I buy and use the most qualitative beef ground meat for the best hamburgers. Toss the ground beef is some black pepper, salt, ground garlic and ground onion (or some other spices you like). Separate the beef in 4 equal sections (I have made 4 hamburgers). Depending on how many you would like to prepare, separate the meat in equal portions. I have used my hands to form some nice sized buns, mines are 10cm/3. Your patties should look nice and neat, try not to press too much on them. They have to look airy and nicely-shaped. I have grilled the patties 5 minutes on each side, or until well done. I used to make them not too thick in order to have well-done grilled patties.
Meanwhile, I fry the bacon slices in a skillet for about 2-3 minutes until they are crispy and golden. Also, as the meat is grilling, I cut the pickles and tomatoes. When the meat is done I assemble the burger. I start to grease one piece of a bun with ketchup and another one with mayonnaise. The layering and most fun part start here: first, go the iceberg lettuce, then add the grilled patty with cheese, top it with a slice of tomato and pickles and finish the divine burger with the caramelized onion and bacon. Top the lid of the bun that is greased with mayonnaise and serve immediately.

Try to keep your homemade burger super simple, but truly qualitative with some good meat and the best seasoning.
How do you keep homemade hamburgers from falling apart?
If you ask me how I like to eat a burger, I will simply respond to you that I like it messy. I like to eat it in with my clean hands, without gloves. I like to eat it while the juice is slipping through my fingers and I have to linger it. So wild, but so do burge-liocious.
However, there are some tips to eat a burger properly and to make your patties not to fall through the cracks.
Try not to add too many ingredients. Keep it cold, or at least warm not hot. Use gloves to avoid the unpleasant smell if it bothers you. Avoid using liquid ingredients while assembling it.
Keep it simple.
What to serve with hamburgers?
When it comes to making some homemade hamburgers the best pair that comes to mind is some chips, French fries, or some baked veggies. For this time I have used some Pringles as I like how they taste next to my homemade juicy hamburger. I have to admit that there are times when a burger is more than enough to be savored!
How to store?
The best burger is better served immediately. I don’t have leftovers, as I try to make not so many of them and my family simply adore eating them. However, if you still have some leftover meat you have to simply refrigerate it in an air container and store for about 1-3 days. Thaw and let it at room temperature and then simply assemble it with the necessary ingredients.
Recipe tips:
- You can easily use a mix of beef and pork ground meat for more flavor and fatty taste.
- There are days when I use turkey or chicken meat instead of beef if I want it to be more dietary and lighter.
- Substitute bacon with other ingredients if you don’t like a more caloric burger.
- Top the buns with pizza sauce if you don’t like mayonnaise or ketchup sauce.
- For this recipe, you can fry, grill, or bake the meat. It depends on your taste. Try to use the best quality meat to have the best hamburgers. Also, try to use meat with some fat to make them juicer and tender.
