How do you make keto Berry Crumble?
Nothing beats a crispy, crumbly topping that coats bursting sticky berries. It is the perfect pairing of sweet and sour tastes.
Actually, keto crumble streusel is nothing else but a combination of nuts and butter. For my recipe, I used a combination of almond flour and coconut flour. Combine the flour in a mixing bowl. Mix in the sweetener. At the end, stir in grated butter at room temperature and rub the mixture until it forms moist crumbs.
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease an 8-inch pie plate.
Transfer the berries to the baking dish. I used frozen ones, so before adding them to the dish, I rinsed them with water to remove any frost. Sprinkle some sweetener over the berries. If you are using fresh berries, there is no need for extra sweetener. Now, spread the streusel crunch mixture evenly. Top with extra crushed almonds.
Send the keto berry crumble to the oven and bake for about 30 minutes.
What to serve with Keto Berry Crumble?
Pair keto berry crumble with your favorite keto vanilla ice cream or whipped cream to add some protein and healthy fat.
Can I use frozen berries for Keto Berry Crumble?
Definitely, you can! So, I did it for my keto berry crumble recipe. Using frozen berries during winter is a perfect option if you want to save some money. Also, I consider and hope that berries are frozen during their peak of freshness and were risen with a minimum level of nitrate.
Tips:
- During the winter, use frozen organic berries. They are cheaper than fresh ones and contain the same quantity of nutrients.
- You do not have to waste time preparing the berries for this recipe, as there is no need to blanch, peel, slice, or pit them. The only manipulation needed is to give the berries a water wash.
- You can easily make it home if you haven’t found almond/coconut flour. Blender blitz nuts until you achieve a fine, powdery flour.
- Use any sweetener you have on hand.
