I adore tomato salad, especially, coated in cream and infused with some herbs and fresh onion. One of my favourites way of eating creamy tomato salad is with a rustic, fresh loaf of bread. I adore soaking a loaf of bread into the tomato/creamy juice – such an old-fashioned habit, but so rustic and lively.Â
Tomato salad is one of the most frequently made salads in my house. Either with avocado, cucumbers, or simply as it is, this salad is truly healthy, fresh, and delicious. In summer, this salad taste even better as the end-of-the-summer garden tomatoes are so sweet and tasty that you will eat some of them before assembling the salad.Â
What I also adore about his great salad is that my daughter adores and eats it next to any grilled meat or fish. I made a habit at home, to introduce fresh veggies as they are so healthy and that she needs to eat them daily. She likes that salad, but not too much. However, I am glad to see her eating it any size she wants.Â

Tomatoes are great and good to be eaten raw and cooked. Fresh and ripe tomatoes make one of the best salads. You can use them simply as they are, or mixed with other veggies, or coated in a creamy dressing.Â
However, tomatoes are also great when baked. When they are baked the juice they leave makes the dish texture moisty and juicer. You can check some of my recipes here.Â

- 2 shallots thinly sliced
- Herbs, fresh parsley and dill nicely chopped
- Chives
- Seasoning
Properly wash and clean all the tomatoes you are going to use.Â
Take a cutting board and start cutting wedges or halves your tomatoes. Also, thinly slice the shallots, parsley, and the dill.
Take a big bowl and start combining all the ingredients. Pour the sour cream and mix well until all the ingredients have coated all the aromas.Â
Add salt and herbs at your discretion.
Garnish tomato salad with some thinly chopped chives and serve immediately. Try to eat it at the time you are serving this salad to avoid a soggy mess salad.
