How to make Banana Bread?

For a delicious, moist, and fluffy banana bread you will have to buy good ripped bananas that are soft and nicely sweet. In a bowl, you have to mix the unsalted melted butter with sugar (you can either use honey or brown sugar, as well) after which you will add eggs, one by one, and the mashed bananas. When the mixture is ready add flour, baking powder and a pinch of sea salt. In a tray, greased with butter or covered with parchment paper, pour the mixture and bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes. The smell that fills the house, is simply amazing while it is being baked. I adore these kind of smells, and the delicious taste it has loaded with banana flavor. Method: 

  1. Preheat the oven at 350 ̊F.

  2. Mash 2 ripe bananas.

  3. In a bowl, mix 100 gr. of unsalted melted butter with 100 gr. of sugar.

  4. Add 2 eggs, one by one, and mashed bananas.

  5. Add to the mixture 170 gr. of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, nuts a pinch of salt, and vanilla.

  6. In a tray pour all the mixture and bake for about 40 minutes.

  7. When the banana bread turns brown insert a toothpick in the center of the loaf and if it comes out clean, then your bread is ready.

  8. Leave to rest about until cools down.

  9. Serve with a small butter over it for a delicious taste.

You can modify this recipe at your preference by adding seeds, chunks, chocolate chips, or berries. Also, you can replace all-purpose flour with a more dietary oatmeal flour or whole wheat flour. How to store Banana Bread?

What I love most about this banana bread is that it can be served cold as you can keep it in your freezer for one month. Still, I am not a fan of refrigerating food as I do prefer to eat fresh ones, but it can be a hint to many of my readers.

When you have cooled down your banana bread, for about 20-30 minutes, it can be served with a good cup of coffee or tea. But, it can also be frozen, either for 1-2 months. For Note: cut the banana bread slices and freeze in a safe zip lock bag removing the air, and freeze up to 2 months.

I like to bake this bread in the evenings and serve on the second day until fresh and fluffy.

  • I adore and usually cook the classic recipe of the banana bread, but on occasions, I try to impress my guests with a delicious cream cheese frosting on the top that goes perfect as well.

  • This banana bread recipe is also perfect with any kind of sweetnesses. For example, I like the taste of bananas in this recipe with some nuts, but you can use either berries, chocolate chips, or resins inside of the dough for a more intense aroma and more consistency.

  • It is important to preheat the oven so that the dough rises well and bake properly.

  • Bananas should be ripped, but still not over ripped, as they leave to much juice and the dough will be too thin.

  • One more important hint is to replace the sugar with honey. I have tried both recipes, and definitely honey win because it makes the cake not so sweet. I don’t like sweet tasting cakes.
