Is baked potato better in an oven or air fryer?
Before I discovered this excellent appliance, the air fryer, I had always baked my potatoes, veggies, fish, and meat in my kitchen. However, now that I am using an air fryer that much, baking potatoes in an air fryer has the same effect as baking them in the oven, but for me, it is even better, as it cooks quicker and with less smell and mess. Everything I cooked in the air fryer was perfect, and these potatoes turned out crispy, tender, and soft inside. Try both options and see what conveniences you most. If you have time, baking potatoes is also an option, especially grilling outside with an intoxicating aroma; check the recipe here.Â
The ingredients:
- Four small to medium-sized potatoes
- Seasoning (chilli flakes, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper)

How to make air fryer baked potatoes?
Preheat the air fryer for 4-5 minutes at 400F (200C), wash the potatoes, and set aside.Â
Take the air fryer basket, lay a parchment pepper, and put 3 or 4 potatoes inside. I poured some olive oil and cooked it for 35-40 minutes.Â
If you have smaller potatoes, you can cook them for 25 minutes, maximum.Â
Take out the potatoes, cut halves, and add some shredded cheese ( anyone you have) and some seasoning. Cook for 1-2 more minutes until the cheese melts.Â
Once ready, place them on a platter, season, add sour plain yoghurt, and enjoy them next to anything—top finely chopped spring onions.Â
Â
Toppings:
- Replace plain yoghurt with sour cream, a perfect combinationÂ
- Butter – add a dot and let it melt over
- Fried bacon bites
- Shredded cheese ( Parmegiano, Gryer, Mozzarella)
- Finely chopped spring onions or chives
- Add some spicy chilli flakes or JalapenoÂ
