Pizza does not mean only mozzarella, tomatoes, and pepperoni. This Mexican pizza recipe is delicious, healthy, and not worst than Italian pizzas. I have made this pizza countless times, and my family is excited every time we enjoy it. Slightly spicy, tasty, exceptional…
The crunchy tortillas, fluffy refried beans, fresh tomatoes, and the melted cheese – can you imagine anything tastier.
There are many versions of Mexican pizzas, and you should not be afraid to play with ingredients. My husband and I are just addicted to spicy food – so our portion of pizza is never missing pepper or chili flakes. For kids, I omit this ingredient.
You can always be more creative, and as you do in regular pizza, add your favorite toppings, like chopped onion, guacamole, vegetables, sauces, sour cream, and add any meat you prefer.

Ingredients for Mexican Pizza:
The quality of ingredients should always be a staple. Only with fresh and high-quality ingredients, you will obtain a tremendously satisfying dish. The shopping list for this recipe is short, but do not forget that you can fulfill it according to your tastes.
For Mexican pizza, you will need:
Flour tortillas – many Mexina pizza recipes require browning tortillas. Surely they will taste better, but if you are looking for a healthy dish, then better omit this step.
Meat – my favorite is grilled chicken meat, as long as I can always use leftovers of chicken breast that is less beloved from the whole poultry. Browned ground beef of pork tastes delicious in this pizza too.
Beans – or better saying refried beans. You can always grab canned refried beans or go for a healthier version am make your own homemade refried beans. For easier spreading, make sure you reheat them.
White Cheddar cheese – or blend of any Mexican cheese.
Tomatoes – this will add some freshness and vitamins to this dish.
Canned corn – I do not why, but my imagination does not allow me to skip corn from Mexican pizza. For me, this is a core ingredient in many Mexican dishes.
Olives – what pizza without olives.
Taco seasoning
Can I skip the meat for Mexican pizza?
Definitely, you can! Refried beans are hearty enough and provide the necessary amount of protein. But meat lovers have no reason to skip it from the recipe as it adds even more flavor and texture.
