Nowadays, in stores, many pesto sauces are available either bio, organic, or regular. But when a pesto sauce recipe can be made in just 5 minutes at home, then the reason for not making it is simply inexplicable. I have tried some bought pesto sauces. They are okay, but at home, I try to use the freshest and most aromatic basil leaves, pine nuts, the best pecorino and parmesan cheese to obtain one of the most delicious pestos in the world.

2 Steps to make keto pesto sauce recipe

  1. Add ½ cup of pine nuts, 4 cups of fresh basil leaves, ½ cup of Pecorino cheese, ½ cup parmesan cheese, 2-3 cloves of garlic, 1-2 tsp lime juice, 1 tsp sea salt, and 1 tsp pepper in a hand blender. 
  2. Blend all ingredients and slowly drizzle olive oil until you obtain a smooth consistency. Pesto sauce is ready to serve.
