There is no better idea for mushrooms than cooked in a dose of butter and garlic. Quick, easy and satisfying, these heavenly aromatic sauteed mushrooms burst with flavors are a great side dish or appetizer for family-friendly dinner time.

I don’t know people who don’t like mushrooms. These hearty and delicious veggies will make your dinner look and taste amazing without sacrificing the taste. These sauteed in butter with garlic mushrooms are cooked so easily, are so delicious, and taste so so good. I have tried a lot of mushroom recipes, all of them are good and mouth-watering. However, when you make this 10-minute flavorful mushroom recipe loaded with garlic aromas it is simply out of this world. The kitchen is full of a delightful aroma from the garlic sauteed in butter and mushrooms. A simple, yet so rich and pleasant meal. Generally speaking, I am a mushroom fan – I adore mushrooms cooked in any way – from simple mushroom omelets to stuffed or grilled ones. They are so hearty and so satisfying that usually, we eat them as a main dish. On occasions, I try to make it as a side or appetizer dish, but when on an ordinary evening I can serve it simply as it is – sometimes with a fresh slice of bread to soak it in the tasty juice the mushrooms leave. It is unbelievable if you haven’t tried this recipe, yet – you should as you will adore it as quickly as you will have the first bite. I guarantee you will serve these mushrooms with everything.

These garlic sauteed mushrooms have a flavorful twist from the herbs, garlic and a lot of butter. You can serve them topped on mashed potatoes, pasta, in burgers, topped on different grilled meat, or as a simple side dish. This dish is so versatile that you can make it your way. The best garlic mushrooms recipe is sauteed in butter for a more creamy, juicy and aromatic taste. You won’t regret if you try to cook it.

How to make Garlic Mushrooms?

Choose the best mushrooms for this recipe. I used White Button Mushrooms but it is okay with any other kinds like Portobello, Maitake, Enoki, famous Chanterelle or Porcino – all of them are great for this dish. It is important to have them fresh, soft, and nice-smelling.

I wipe my mushrooms well with a wet paper towel to remove dirt and debris. Lightly rinse under cold water, but do not wash them as they absorb too much water just like a sponge and they lose the great taste and don’t turn brown while cooking. Set aside thoroughly on a pat dry paper towel to make sure they don’t have any water on them.

Meanwhile, I mince 10 cloves of garlic and heat the skillet at medium heat. In the skillet, I melt 150 gr of butter and throw into it the smashed cloves of garlic. When the nice aroma from the fried garlic is all in the air throw in the mushrooms. Saute the mushrooms until browned (about 6 minutes on each side) and season with garlic salt and pepper.

When the mushrooms are ready to be served (about 10 minutes cooked) I garnish them with some fresh spring onions and cilantro. Serve them immediately warm and aromatic. This is such an easy and quick recipe – one of our favorites.

How to clean mushrooms?

I know that many people still use to wash the mushrooms. Well, sometimes if they are too dirty I may wipe them a little, with a wet paper towel,  but never wash them. The mushrooms will absorb too much water and they will lose their taste and will become too aqueous. When the mushrooms are ready to be cooked, I cut the stems and use only the lid.

What to serve with garlic mushrooms?

This aromatic garlic mushrooms recipe can be ideal on your table just the way it is prepared. Well, I used to serve it as it is cooked with a fresh slice of bread or with some of my home-made hot chili pickles peppers. However, this dish is great to be served as a side dish or appetizer next or topped on potatoes, pasta, on meat or other dishes. Its nice aspect, truly rich and intense aroma will make your table look delightful and taste amazing. These silky buttery garlic dips are just mushroom perfection on a plate. Simple, but rich and intense.

Garlic Mushrooms Tips:
