Air fryer corn ribs is a summery seasonal recipe to quickly enjoy a tasty dish when you are out of time but want something different.Â
And again, air fryer.
Yes, I like to cook in it as much as possible.Â
Corns are my summer treat. I like them in any way boiled, baked, or, my new discovery, cooked in my air fryer. Corns are usually sweet; I try to balance the taste by greasing them with chili spices to obtain a pleasant bursting aroma. I try to choose small, new-looking corns that are still young and sweeter.Â
Corn ribs cooked in an air fryer has a delicious taste and take you just 10 minutes to make it. Corn ribs infused with spices and greased with butter turn out to be rich in aroma, buttery flavored, nicely golden brown with a slightly smoky taste. This is a quick and fast recipe to make ahead, at parties, late evening due to its easiness and less fuss if making them in an air fryer.Â
How long do you cook ribs in an air fryer?
It depends on the size and thickness. I try to buy smaller and new corns that are still milky and sweeter. I have cut them in fours and cooked them for 10 mines at a medium temperature of 350F (180C).Â
They had a nice golden-brown color with an intense and inviting aroma.Â
Is there any benefit to eating corn?
Corn is helpful to eat but in small portions. As I know, much of the corn is already genetically modified, so in small quantities, it is okay. But, despite being GMO, corn has some positive sides – rich in Vitamin C, a good antioxidant, and a good source of carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin. So it is up to you to decide how much yellow corn to eat per week, month, or year.Â
In my family, corn isn’t too famous; this is why I try to add it only to Mexican tacos recipes; sometimes, I make grilled corn and the most popular popcorn bowl while watching a good movie.Â
How to make air fryer corn ribs?
The first thing you should do is to clean and strip the husk and silk from each corn.Â
Take a sharp kitchen knife and, using a towel, cut halves, and then each half cut in quatre.Â
For note: from the top end of the cob, gently slice the ear of the corn so you get two halves. This may take some time and effort, but if you can’t do this, ask your husband’s help, I am always asking him for help.
Take a plate and start greasing some butter, and season the cobs with salt, pepper, and chili flakes; optional, you can add some garlic powder.Â
Take the basked of the air fryer and lay down the corn ribs.
Fry the corn ribs for 10 minutes at 350F.Â
Take out and serve with a bbq sauce or sweet/chili sauce.Â
For note: you can also use frozen corn for this recipe.Â
How to store?
Corn ribs are easy to make, so you shouldn’t store them; however, you can do this and store them for the next day and use them in tacos or other recipes.Â
