The strawberry Margarita cocktail is a fresh, sweet, revitalizing drink ideal for hot summer days. It is made in minutes and deliciously tasty to savor with friends.Â
Summer is all about cold appetizers, refreshing cocktails, a good mood, and life to be lived at maximum. I adore summer nights as they are so lively, a little heady, and more delicious if the cocktails are good and tasty.Â
I like to throw parties at home, so no party without drinks. A cocktail is always a good idea as it looks girlish, tastes fabulous, and is more romantic. On our food blog, I am responsible for cocktails. I like to make, mix, and experience more of them.Â
Margarita, the classic cocktail, you can read the full article here, is one of my favorite cocktails due to its original, sweet/sour taste that is mouth-watering.Â
For this time, I have decided to make another kind of margarita and added fresh strawberries with some orange juice. I wanted it more girlish, more summer-like, and truly refreshing.Â
Men also want this drink, but I find it more for women as I like to make it less heady but very aromatic.
Be sure to use fresh seasonal strawberries to save money on frozen/untasty ones. Wash them properly, and cut off the stems before using them in the blender. Because strawberries are sweet and you may lose the authentic tequila taste, you can easily substitute it with a budget-friendly tequila. Mixing tequila with flavors loses its natural taste, and tequila plays the role just of adding grades to the cocktail. Â
Is triple sec necessary for margaritas?
Yes, it is necessary if you want to enjoy an authentic margarita taste. Cointreau or Grand Marnier is one of the best triple secs to savor the original margarita taste. If mixing with sweet strawberries, a low-budget tequila will be enough. You can replace a good tequila drink with one cheaper when you combine it with different flavors.Â
Some popular triple sec labels are Cointreau, Grand Marnier (costly but French quality), Combier, Fair, and others.Â
The consistency of the cocktail
When you blend fresh strawberries with ice you can choose the consistency of the cocktail. For example, I like to drink light and more liquid margarita this is why I add less ice. On the contrary, if you want it thicker, add more ice cubes and blend to your desired consistency.Â
The ingredients for the Strawberry Margarita Cocktail:
- ½ cup fresh strawberries
- 2 oz tequila
- 1 oz triple sec
- 1 oz orange juice ( optional)
- 1 cup ice
- Fresh strawberries and lime for garnish
How to make Strawberry Margarita Cocktail?
Nothing too complicated or hard, this cocktail recipe resembles the original margarita recipe and could be diversified or substituted with many other fruits or ingredients.Â
Take your kitchen blender and throw ice cubes, fresh strawberries, and orange juice. Blend at high speed for 1-2 minutes until the ice is crushed in small parts. Once you have reached the desired consistency, pour tequila and triple sec.
Take some nice margarita glasses, optionally rim them, and pour the mixture. I have rimmed them for a nice-looking aspect, but I will not recommend rimming them in sea salt as this margarita is sweet, and the combination of strawberry with salt is not one of the best tastings. So avoid rimming glassing when you mix a margarita with fruits.
Garnish with some lime slices and enjoy the moment.Â
Custom margarita with other fruits as well
Strawberries are a good idea for making some delicious margaritas. However, other sweet and delicious fruits can make it taste no less tasty. Passion fruits, bananas, mango, raspberries, and blended pineapple can be great substitutes.Â
