Ingredients required to make air fryer cinnamon apples are mentioned below.
- 2 medium apples: Use softer apples, like golden delicious apples, for better caramelization. But you can use red ones also.
- ½ cup brown sugar: You can also use white sugar, coconut sugar, or keto-friendly alternatives like erythritol or monk fruit sweetener.
- 1 tsp nutmeg: It enhances the natural sweetness of the apples and complements the cinnamon.
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon: It balances the tartness of the apples and brings a sweet, woody, and slightly spicy note.
- 2 tbsp oats: They provide a subtle crunch and nutty flavor when toasted in the air fryer.
- 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds: Just like oats, pumpkin seeds provide a crunch, nuttiness, and nutrition to the recipe.
- ½ lemon: We will need half lemon for lemon juice as it prevents browning and balances the sweetness with a hint of acidity.
