What is halloumi cheese?

Air fryer halloumiHalloumi is a firm and tender cheese that has its origins in Cypress. It has a mild and not pronounced taste, but being fried it turns into an amazing and fabulous cheese plate.

Halloumi is a mixture of goat, sheep, and cow milk that makes it so special and unique. Grilled halloumi is simply amazing and cheese-licious.

Why grilled in an air fryer?

Grilled halloumi is something one has to try in his life. It has a delicate texture and is very tasty, and delicious.

Halloumi grilled in an air fryer gives you an easy and simple way to cook this cheese, which can be served either for lunch or dinner.

Air fryer halloumi cheeseI have poured over some olive oil, topped some chili flakes, and some 10 minutes to obtain golden-brown cheese halloumi tastes amazing.

It is not a secret to anyone that I like cooking in my air fryer. I try to make in it almost everything. You can take a look at my simple air fryer recipes such as air fryer vegetables, air fryer meatloaf, air fryer asparagus, air fryer toast sandwich, air fryer salmon with skin, and many other air fryer recipes that are so easy to make.

What happens if you air fry halloumi?

Halloumi has a firm texture as I have mentioned, so over-frying it is a little hard but accessible. However, try to fry the halloumi for 10 minutes, if you haven’t obtained a nice color, easily fry it for some 5 minutes more. The trick here I use is: cutting the cheese in more halves to easily and quickly fry it. This is why it only takes me some 10 minutes to obtain that nice-looking, delicious, fried halloumi cheese.

Grilled halloumi cheese is one of those appetizers you need to have on a party table.

How should I prepare halloumi before air frying it?

First of all, I have used 2 medium size pieces of halloumi. I have seasoned it with chili flakes and dried thyme. Poured over some olive oil and cut into smaller pieces.
