The air fryer grilled cheese sandwich is a finger-licking cheesy snack to enjoy and savour at the same time. Everything that has cheese is mouthwatering and delicious.
Air fryer grilled cheese sandwich is an assembly of everything in your fridge, cooked in the air fryer with melting cheese, but without smell. I know I write a lot about smell, but I dislike it when my house smells like food, and I even hate it when my clothes smell bad. This is why I must enjoy a delicious breakfast and be clean and fresh.
This sandwich is a simple and easy one, but it is so delicious. It is a versatile cheese sandwich where you can adjust or skip everything. For such sandwiches, I like to use two kinds of cheese that melt quickly and taste deliciously. For the ham, I usually have turkey ham in the fridge, as it is more healthier, this is why I have used it next to veggies and mayo.
Usually, I add cherry tomatoes and green lettuce to make them healthier and nicer. These air fryer grilled cheese sandwiches are quick to make and taste fantastic. Give me 5 minutes, and your day will start correctly and taste good.
How long does a toasted sandwich take in the air fryer?
This is a good question, and I can only say that it depends on the goal you want to achieve. For me, it is very important to obtain a melting cheese; for some, it is more important to cook the ham. Generally, 7-10 minutes can be okay. If you want a crispy sandwich with cooked ham and melting cheese for 10 minutes, not less, it will make your snack perfect.
Is air fryer grilled cheese the same as pan?
The air fryer and stovetop pan make the grilled cheese taste fantastic. However, cooking the cheese in the air fryer obtains a crisper and crunchier effect and melts in minutes due to the hot air that circulates in the air fryer. While frying the cheese, you will have more smell and a dirty stove that will take some time to clean. So, the air fryer is a win-win gadget in the kitchen.
What is the best temperature to toast a sandwich?
The best temperature to toast a sandwich in the preheated air fryer will be 350F (180 C). This temperature helps the sandwich become golden brown with a crispy texture and melts the cheese inside.
Can you put aluminium foil in an air fryer?
Sure, you can put aluminium foil in the air fryer while cooking. However, I never use it as I am only using parchment pepper. I used to bake with aluminium foil, but now I don’t do this. Read more helpful information about aluminium’s properties and hidden risks in cooking here.

How to make an air fryer grilled cheese sandwich?
Sandwiches, especially with lots of cheese, are my weakness and some of the most delicious snacks to make and enjoy. I must admit that ham, cheese, and bread are the products I always have in my kitchen, so assembling such delicacies is too easy and simple.
Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 350F.
Meanwhile, assemble the sandwich. Take two pieces of toast bread for one portion and start greasing both pieces of bread with mayo. Top ham, cheese, icebergs and tomatoes (optional), and cover the sandwich with the second half of the toast.
