Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls are a healthy alternative, and vegan delicacies, to satisfy yourself and your family all year round.
There are days, or well in my case, every day, when I crave sweeties. Indeed, you want something light and less caloric on hot summer days. But it happened that I just crave hearty and caloric desserts. In this situation, peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate come to mind as they are easy to make, delicious, and satisfying to enjoy. And I can tell you more, this sweetness looks fantastic and refined. So, you can make them even for a party or any gathering.
My kids love these cake pops and often try to customize them with different colors. These balls are perfect for parties and birthdays as they are super tasty and versatile. Kids enjoy them thoroughly, this is the reason I dip them in dark chocolate, but you can coat them with white or milk one.
No baking moment, just some minutes of imagination, an hour of fridge storage, and your cakes are ready to be enjoyed.
Keeping them longer in the fridge is better, but an hour can be enough if you don’t have time.
This simple recipe of peanut butter balls yields a sweet and chewy texture with a memorable taste. I simply adore these fantastic balls.

Is Chocolate Peanut Balls keto?
Today’s recipe for chocolate peanut balls is not keto, as I have used regular icing sugar. But if you skip it or substitute it with stevia, erythritol, or xylitol, you will get perfect keto treats. Also, make sure you use chocolate chips and peanut butter paste that do not contain any sugar.
Is Chocolate Peanut Balls vegan?
In my recipe, I have used dairy butter. For a vegetarian version of chocolate, peanut balls substitute butter with vegan butter – nothing easier can be.
How to make Chocolate Peanut Balls?
Smooth peanut butter is my kids’ favorite paste, so I have to make them different sweeties with peanut butter. These vegan balls are rich in chocolate and deliciously chewy, perfect for any time of the year!
Let’s proceed! In a large mixing bowl, add creamy peanut butter and soften the butter. Using a hand mixer, beat until combined. Now add the icing sugar and mix for about one more minute.
Chop the nuts. If you are using raw nuts for better taste, toss them first. Combine nuts with peanut butter mixture. Add some chocolate chips and mix again. Using an ice cream scoop (or two tablespoons), form balls and arrange them on a pan lined with parchment paper. When done, send them to the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to chill.
*For note: If the mixture is not thick enough to shape the balls, send it for 5 minutes to the fridge.
Meanwhile, in a saucepan, melt the chocolate chips. Add a tablespoon of coconut cream or oil to the chocolate to get a glossy and luscious coating. Chocolate cream can be substituted with regular cream or milk.
Remove the balls from the fridge. Using a fork or bamboo skewers, dip each ball in melted chocolate (make sure it is not hot). Arrange the balls back onto the parchment-lined pan. Decorate with a drizzle of chocolate. Chill for at least 20 more minutes.
How to store Chocolate Peanut Balls?
The best way to store chocolate peanut butter balls is to refrigerate them in an airtight container. Best to eat them within three weeks.
This dessert can also be frozen.
