Aromatic Garlic Mushrooms

There is no better idea for mushrooms than cooked in a dose of butter and garlic. Quick, easy and satisfying, these heavenly aromatic sauteed mushrooms burst with flavors are a great side dish or appetizer for family-friendly dinner time.

Equipment

  • rubber spatula
  • skillet
  • paper towel

Ingredients

  • 1 pack white button mushrooms
  • 10 cloves garlic
  • 5 oz butter
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 pinch garlic salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • cilantro

Instructions

  • Wipe the mushrooms and with a wet paper towel to remove dirt and debris.
  • Lightly rinse under cold water, but do not wash them as they absorb too much water.
  • Cut the stems and use only the lid.
  • Heat the skillet at medium heat.
  • Melt the butter and add 10 cloves of garlic.
  • When the garlic leaves a nice aroma, add the mushrooms and cook until browned (about 6 minutes on each side).
  • Season with garlic salt and pepper.     
  • Garnish the mushrooms with cilantro.
  • Serve immediately.
