Baked Eggs for Breakfast

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 4 unsweetened buns
  • 4 tbsp tomato sauce Taco sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese Gouda cheese
  • 1/3 cup diced tomatoes
  • 4 tsp chopped fresh basil
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Grab your favorite bread buns and slice the tops. Hollow out any extra bread until there is a hole large enough. Make sure you make it carefully without damaging the edges of the buns.
  • Arrange the buns on a baking tray.  Grease the bottom of the bread with tomato sauce.
  • Sprinkle a layer of cheese.
  • Crack the eggs, one at a time, in a small bowl and then carefully pour it over the cheese.
  • Top with some chopped tomatoes and fresh basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Send to preheated oven for 15 -20 minutes, depending on how runny you like the yolk. Make sure the egg whites are set.
