Beef & Broccoli Stir Fry Recipe

Beef & broccoli stir fry is a dish of Asian origin, in which the striped beef is cooked and served with broccoli browned with ginger, soy sauce and sesame seeds.

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs beef
  • 9 oz broccoli 1 broccoli head
  • 4-5 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds for serving

Sauce

  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/3 cup red wine
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil roasted
  • 1 tsp corn starch optional

Instructions

  • Rinse and cut the florets and the stem of the broccoli
  • Peel and crush or slice the garlic cloves
  • Heat a pan and add the olive oil
  • Brown the garlic for 30 minutes then add the broccoli
  • Cook for about 3-4 minutes on medium-low heat. Stir often
  • Remove from the pan and set aside on a plate
  • Clean the meat and thinly slice it in stripes
  • Add olive oil to the pan and fry the beef stripes for 5 minutes on medium-high heat. Stir often
  • In the meantime, mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl
  • When the 5 minutes expire, pour the sauce mixture into the pan with browning meat and stir
  • Cook for additional 5-7 minutes on medium-low heat
  • Add the previously cooked broccoli and mix
  • Turn off the stove and sprinkle with sesame seeds
  • Serve alone or on top of boiled rice. Enjoy!
