Nothing screams more childhood memories like French toast breakfasts in my family. This simple, but so delicious French toast recipe features sweet egg-soaked bread coated and fried in butter served with your favourite toppings.

  • 4 bread slices
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • fresh fruits


  • Take a large bowl and beat 4 eggs with ½ cup of milk. Add cinnamon and vanilla extract for more richness of flavour.
  • Cut the bread slices and let them soak some seconds in the egg mixture until they absorb all flavours and aromas. Soak the bread on both sides.
  • Heat the skillet over medium to high and add the butter.
  • Place the egg-soaked bread into the skillet and cook on both sides until golden. Usually, it takes some 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve warm topped with Maple syrup and fresh fruits.
