The Best Cinnamon French Toast
Nothing screams more childhood memories like French toast breakfasts in my family. This simple, but so delicious French toast recipe features sweet egg-soaked bread coated and fried in butter served with your favourite toppings.
- 4 bread slices
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 eggs
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- fresh fruits
Take a large bowl and beat 4 eggs with ½ cup of milk. Add cinnamon and vanilla extract for more richness of flavour.
Cut the bread slices and let them soak some seconds in the egg mixture until they absorb all flavours and aromas. Soak the bread on both sides.
Heat the skillet over medium to high and add the butter.
Place the egg-soaked bread into the skillet and cook on both sides until golden. Usually, it takes some 2-3 minutes.
Serve warm topped with Maple syrup and fresh fruits.
