Air Fryer Asparagus Fries
Air Fryer Asparagus Fries is a simple and easy recipe with a crispy outside and a soft and delicious inside. It is one of the best sides or appetizers to make for just any occasion.
Servings: 2 servings
- 2 eggs
- 3 tbsp cold water
- 1 tbsp oil
- 3 tbsp all purpose flour
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup grated parmesan
Separate eggs into two bowls. Grab the bowl with yolks and stir in 3 - 4 tbsp of cold water and one tablespoon of vegetable oil. Then add flour and mix to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Now whip the egg whites until you get firm peaks. Using a spatula, incorporate the beaten egg whites into the yolk mixture. Transfer the coating to a shallow plate.
Grate some parmesan on a separate shallow plate.
Wash, clean, and pat dry asparagus spears if needed.
Lightly grease the air fryer basket with vegetable oil or spray it with cooking spray.
Dip each asparagus into the egg coating, then into the grated parmesan. Lay spears in a single layer in the basket. Set your Air Fryer to 400 °F. Cook for 10 minutes. No need to flip!
Toss the asparagus fries in the bowl and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
