- 3 medium apples
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup almond flakes
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
Preheat oven to 400F
Peel the apples; remove the seeds and dice the apples
Grease the interior walls and bottom of a baking dish with butter
Spread the apple dices in one even layer in the baking dish
Sprinkle over the apples 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1 tbsp of sugar, then mix
Use a bowl to mix the flour, melted butter, sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
Crush the almond flakes and add it to the batter, mix again
Spread the batter over the apple dices
Sprinkle some almond flakes on top
Bake in preheated oven at 400F for 20 minutes
Remove from oven and allow to rest for 10-15 minutes
Scoop and serve in small bowls, top with ice cream
