Delicious Figs and Gorgonzola Filo Pie
Nothing beats the taste of a hot, aromatic, crispy, and ultra-tasty pie full of fresh figs and creamy gorgonzola cheese. Instantly melting pie, this recipe is necessary for those who like pies and a warm atmosphere in-house.

- 1 pack filo sheets 8 sheets
- 1/2 unsalted butter melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 fresh figs
- 1 pack creamy gorgonzola cheese
- salt and pepper
Preheat the oven to 200 C (350F), fan forced. While cooking the pie, you will reduce the temperature to 180 C (300F).
Take the baking pan and brush the edges with the butter. Set aside.
Take a medium bowl and whisk eggs, heavy cream, and the seasoning. Whisk well until all the ingredients are combined and look homogenised. Set aside.
Onto your working place, start folding one fillo sheet with your fingers and nicely lay it into the baking tray. Repeat folding all the sheets and attentively layer them all into the tray.
On a cutting board, slice the figs and the gorgonzola cheese.
Take the tray and start slotting the slices into the pastry layers. First, start with figs and then insert cheese.
Pour the egg mixture nicely into all holes.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm.
