- 4 Granny Smith apples
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup cinnamon
- nutmeg
- lemon juice
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
Peel, core, and chop all the apples. Take a bowl and add all apple slices. Squeeze some lemon juice with a pinch of salt to prevent from browning.
Take a large skillet and melt the butter. Add the sliced apples, then continue adding the brown sugar, cinnamon, and the grounded nutmeg. Gently mix all the ingredients to coat all smells. Cover the skillet and cook about 5 minutes.
Now add the cornstarch with water to thicken the texture (1 tbsp cornstarch to 1/3cup of water). Turn off the heat.
Take a nice plate or bowl and pour the apples with its sweet sauce. Top a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream and serve immediately.
