Chewy M&M Cookies

If you thought that M&M are kids’ weakness, you were wrong because adults also find them chocolate-ish and sweet. Today, I have made one of my kids favorite cookies, M&M Cookies, that are fully packed with M&M candied and chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup M&M candy mix
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, sift the flour. Stir in baking powder and salt. Set aside.
  • Prepare your stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment. Beat the butter with brown sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy. Make sure you scrape the bowl sides and bottom if needed.
  • Increasing the speed a little, add in the egg and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
  • Lower the speed and add the flour mixture gradually. Mix until just combined. Switch off the mixer. Stir in M&M candy and chocolate chips using a spatula.
  • With a medium cookie scoop, scoop cookie dough balls and arrange about 3-inches apart onto a layered baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Bake cookies for about 15 minutes until lightly browned edges. If you want them crispier, then bake 2-3 minutes longer.
