Ingredients

  • 2 grapefruits
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • mint twigs

Instructions

  • Wash and pat dry two big grapefruits and one lemon. Using a sharp knife, cut them into small slices and sent them to the pot. Add 1 ½ cups of sugar, ½ cup of water, and some mint twigs.
  • Bring the mixture uncovered to boiling, lower the heat, and simmer until the grapefruit peel soft enough to cut with a wooden spoon. The mixture should homogenize, and the syrup must thicken.
  • Once done, transfer the hot marmalade to sterilized jars and close with the lid. Let the marmalade cool completely at room temperature, and then move to a cool dark place.
