Avocado Salmon Sandwich Recipe

The salmon-avocado combination has become a trendy classic. Today I will share with you a toast version with the added flavor of red onion. Both salmon and avocado are known for their nutritional properties. They’re both are a source of "good fats" and protein, useful for cardiovascular health and not only.

Ingredients

  • 1 avocado
  • 1/4 red onion
  • 1/2 lime
  • 2 slices whole-grain bread
  • 4 slices smoked salmon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch granulated garlic

Instructions

Guacamole - avocado dip

  • Peel and slice the avocado, put in a bowl
  • Squeeze the juice out of half a lime
  • Chop 1/4 of red onion
  • Sprinkle with salt and granulated garlic
  • Use a blender to mix, or use a fork to form a uniform creamy consistency

Avocado salmon sandwich

  • Toast 2 slices of bread
  • Spread one tbsp of guacamole on each slice of bread
  • Lay 1 or 2 pieces of salmon on the avocado dip
  • Sprinkle some chili pepper slices on top (optionally)
