  • 1 1/2 lb cod filet
  • 1 lb shrimp
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 1/2 - 2 cup heavy cream
  • zest of 1/2 lemon
  • 4 slices lemon
  • fresh thyme
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tbs paprika
  • 1/2 tbs salt and more for seasoning the fish
  • black pepper


  • Heat the skillet on medium heat with 2 tbsp of olive oil. Then add the same amount of butter. Fry the fish for about 3 minutes on one each side. While the fish is frying, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, fresh thyme, and lemon slices. Once the fish is nicely cooked, transfer it to the plate and set aside.
  • Using the same skillet with a bonus of fish flavors, add some white wine and scratch the bottom. Next, pour heavy cream, add lemon zest, and add garlic powder and paprika. Stir frequently and cook for about 4 minutes.
  • Add shrimp and cook for 5 more minutes. At the end add fried fish, gently stir and cook for 5 more minutes. Turn off the heat and let it sit for some minutes to enhance all aromas.
